Tackled in my first year of Game Design Studies, DIY Hero follows Elliot in his imagination as he quests to claim an entire cookie jar. The only thing standing in his way is.....a giant tomato monster.The goal was to create a boss battle game using extremely simple controls that a player of any skill level could pick up and enjoy, while more experienced players could still find fun within a challenge. Acomplished using a charming and inviting art style, a stick/single-attack button combo and cartoonishly-exaggerated tells for players to learn attack patterns.
